The H-2B visa program<\/a> is capped at 66,000 visas per year\u201433,000 for workers who begin employment in the first half of the fiscal year and 33,000 for workers beginning employment in the second half.<\/p>\n
2. It is for temporary\/seasonal work only:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
If your business is seasonal or dependent on peak-load periods, the H-2B program can provide relief by bringing in temporary foreign workers when demand exceeds your domestic labor supply.<\/p>\n
3. There are dictated wages:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
To participate in the H-2B program, employers need to agree to pay everyone at least equal to or higher than the Prevailing Wage for that occupation and location.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
