PLNA Official Press Release - July 29, 2024

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Landscape & Nursery Association (PLNA) announced today a new preferred provider relationship with másLabor, the nation’s leading provider of comprehensive services for employers participating in the H-2A and H-2B nonimmigrant visa programs.

Green industry businesses in Pennsylvania have long struggled with labor shortages, especially for highly-seasonal nursery and landscaping jobs. The continued economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic, and the exodus of many Americans from the workforce, have only aggravated these shortages. An increasing number of businesses have therefore turned to the H-2A and H-2B programs to fill critical job positions. The programs provide a legal pathway for foreign guest workers to work in the United States on a temporary or seasonal basis.

“The H-2A and H-2B programs are essential to American businesses, but the programs’ complexity makes them inaccessible to many. By partnering with másLabor, we can ensure that our members have the tools and guidance they need to succeed in the programs,” said Cicely Elliott, PLNA Executive Director. “Participating in the programs involve multi-stage government approval processes. másLabor takes care of all of that.”

“We deal with the government agencies and the highly nuanced regulations so our employers can focus on doing what they do best – running their businesses,” said April Pish, the President of másLabor. “Our job is to cut through the bureaucracy and deliver results.”

PLNA’s new partnership with másLabor will help its members take advantage of these programs and give members access to másLabor’s industry-leading systems and expertise. Members will also have access to exclusive content, including webinars and other resources, to help program users stay compliant with the programs’ complex rules and regulations.

Headquartered in Virginia, másLabor’s geographic reach expands to all 50 states. Each year, the company’s H-2A and H-2B clients are approved for over 50,000 foreign workers – more than double the amount of any of its competitors. Nearly half of all H-2A and H-2B workers in Pennsylvania come through másLabor.
