What’s an EB-3 Visa?
From Edward Silva, CEO at másLabor
EB-3 is a visa preference category for employment-based permanent residency.
According to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, there are three groups who are eligible for permanent residency based on their employment.
Who is eligible for an EB-3 visa?
Skilled Workers: A skilled worker’s jobs require a minimum of two years of training or experience, and are not seasonal or temporary. A skilled worker must meet the training requirements of the job opportunity.
Professionals: A professional’s job requires at least a U.S. baccalaureate or foreign equivalent degree.
Other Workers: This subcategory is for people performing unskilled labor requiring less than two years of training that is not temporary or seasonal, unlike H-2A or H-2B visa requirements.
What is the application process like?
From start to finish, the EB-3 process can take more than three years for workers to obtain a green card. Employers must file an Immigrant Petition for Alien Workers and prove their ability to pay the offered wage.
Just as másLabor supports businesses in their H-2A and H-2B visas applications, we can also help you navigate this process.
