Protecting H-2B and H-2A Workers from Heat Stress

From Edward Silva, CEO at másLabor

One major concern for H-2B and H-2A workers is heat stress. Working outdoors for extended periods can increase the risk of heat exhaustion, heat rash, and even heat stroke.

How do you protect your workers?

  • Know the signs and symptoms of heat illness - use a buddy system to monitor one another.

  • Block out direct sun.

  • Provide plenty of water - everyone should drink water every 15 minutes.

  • Avoid caffeine and alcohol.

  • Wear lightweight, light colored clothing.

Protect yourself and your team!
