The Benefits of H-2A: Mutually Beneficial for Both Farmers and Workers

From Edward Silva, CEO at másLabor

The benefits of H-2A extend far beyond filling tough-to-fill seasonal roles for American farmers.

The program will always be mutually beneficial for both the farmers and the workers.

A majority of H-2A workers are from Mexico, where the average minimum wage for farmworkers is around $4 per day - meaning these workers are making around $1,200 each year.

The annualized wage for H-2A workers in America was almost $25,000 in 2019.

Even if American H-2A wages were to fall, workers would still greatly benefit from these jobs.

The H-2A program fuels economies worldwide.
